Abraham Fuks has made manifold contributions to the advancement of Canadian medical research, education and scholarship. Professor at McGill University, he has conducted research on the immunological aspects of type 1 diabetes, the molecular nature of tumors, and the metaphors of medicine, notably the impact of language on the physician-patient relationship.
