    Since the tragic murder of their 16-year-old son by a serial killer, Gary and Sharon Rosenfeldt have dedicated their time and energy to victims’ rights in Canada. In 1984, they co-founded Victims of Violence, a community-based resource centre for victims of crime. Regularly asked to make recommendations on issues ranging from crimes against children, parole reform and DNA legislation, the organization has grown to be one of the largest victims’ advocacy organizations in North America and has been responsible for many significant reforms to the criminal justice system.
