In 1985, Mr. Anderson helped found Habitat for Humanity Canada, an ecumenical housing ministry which seeks to eliminate substandard housing and make decent shelter a reality world-wide. Under his capable leadership, Habitat for Humanity Canada has mobilized the energy of thousands of volunteers across the country to work in partnership with needy families in Canada and 42 other countries. Through their labour, they have rehabilitated poor housing in many communities and helped countless families build their own homes.
