On February 14, 2017, Travis Wolfe rescued his elderly neighbour from her burning home in Port Joli, Nova Scotia. After an overheated generator exploded, Mr. Wolfe ran to the house, kicking open the front door when he failed to receive a response to his calls. Spotting a woman lying on the floor, Mr. Wolfe picked her up and carried her outside where he was met by his grandfather, who helped transport the victim to safety. Sadly, a
second victim did not survive.
