On February 6, 2013, Corporal Garet Avery and Ordinary Seaman Benne Wiebe put their lives at risk to prevent a man from setting himself on fire in Kingston, Ontario. They slowly approached the distraught man and pinned him to the ground before he could set fire to his gasoline-soaked clothing, thus saving him from tragedy.
