On June 1, 2012, Stephen Baliski and Glenn Wozniak rescued a woman from a car sinking in a slough near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Mr. Baliski arrived first, wading into the freezing, 4-metre deep water to reach the vehicle, but was unable to gain access to the car. Joined by Mr. Wozniak, the men were able to break the window with a hammer and pull the victim to safety.
