Medal of Bravery
On October 26, 2009, Robert Borduas and Sûreté du Québec Constable Stéphane Tremblay rescued a suicidal woman, in Longueuil, Quebec. When Mr. Borduas noticed a body floating in the St. Lawrence River, he called 911 and hurried to the riverbank. Without any thought for their own safety, he and Constable Tremblay rushed into the cold water to reach the unconscious woman. They pulled her to shore and kept her warm until the ambulance arrived.
