On January 28, 2018, in Granby, Quebec, Sébastien Vallerand rescued a man from his burning workshop. When he noticed the fire coming from the neighbouring house, Mr. Vallerand went to see what was happening. A woman was calling for help, saying that her husband was unconscious inside his workshop. As the flames raged and the smoke greatly reduced visibility, he entered and found the man on the ground about a metre from the door. He grabbed the unconscious and much larger man and pulled him out of the workshop to safety at the other end of the balcony.
