Symbolism
The blue and red colours are taken from the former emblem of the Club, as are the golf clubs. The dogwood flower is the floral emblem of British Columbia and refers to the Club’s location. The Royal Crown indicates that the Club was given Royal Patronage in 1929 by the Prince of Wales, who confirmed that patronage in 1936 as King Edward VIII. The Club had been given permission in 1931 to use the prefix “Royal” by King George V.

Symbolism
The maple leaves and dogwood flowers honour Canada and British Columbia. The cougar’s head refers to an animal native to the province. The St. Andrew’s cross is symbolic of the tradition that golf originated in Scotland.
