The masonry design refers to the generations of bricklayers and brick makers in his family. For Mr. Easey, the walled garden thus formed is a metaphor of the soul, and the open doorway is an invitation to go beyond oneself and explore the world. Black represents the unknown world yet to be discovered. The flame embodies the search for knowledge and truth, which will always play an important role in Mr. Easey’s life. |
CrestBlazonA harpsichord Or its lid open embellished of olive and oak sprigs all umbrated Vert; SymbolismTo Mr. Easey, a lifelong musician, the harpsichord represents his passion for Renaissance and Baroque music. The decoration of oak leaves alludes to Mr. Easey’s family origins on his mother’s side, as the oak tree is an ancient Germanic symbol. The olive branches embody his father’s Sicilian heritage. |
