A crest of two aligned wings is characteristic of western and central European heraldry. The stars refer to the Stella Maris, the symbol of Acadia, indicating Mr. Wiebe’s wife’s Acadian heritage. The blue, gold, white and red colours are taken from the flag of Acadia. |
