Blazon

Argent a cross triparted and fretted Gules, on a chief wavy Azure three crosses patté convexed Argent each surmounted by a torteau;

Symbolism

The red cross is the emblem of St. George, and is associated with Anglicanism. The red colour represents Christ’s sacrifice and therefore the sacrament of the Eucharist. The cross is fretted as a reference to the former City of Galt (now part of Cambridge), which was known for its knitting mills. The fretting image is also an allusion to unity in Christ. The wavy blue chief refers to Trinity Church’s location by the Grand River. This water symbolism also represents the sacrament of Baptism by which members are incorporated into Christ and commissioned for ministry, indicating Trinity Church’s long tradition of community outreach. The cross in the chief is a long-used emblem at Trinity Church. The three crosses refer to the parish’s church, park, and cemetery.

Motto
