The St. Andrew’s cross alludes to the apostle whose name (André in French) Mr. Morin bears. The Maltese cross indicates that Mr. Morin is a Knight of Obedience of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and president of the Order’s Canadian association. The lily suggests Mr. Morin’s wife’s name, Liliane, while the Catherine wheel, named for St. Catherine of Alexandria, represents his daughter, Catherine. |
