Arms of George Graham ThomsonBlazonPer chevron Azure and Argent in base a stag's head caboshed Sable, on a chief Or three escallops Sable; SymbolismThe arms combine traditional Scottish symbolism of two family lines from which Mr. Thomson descends: the Thomsons and the Grahams. Thomson arms usually have as the central element a stag’s head on a white background, while Graham arms use gold scallop shells on black. Here the gold and black have been reversed to coordinate with the rest of the shield. |
