Gules a bend sinister, on a chief Or a coronet erablé Gules;

Symbolism

The design of the shield is based on the emblem in long use by the Association, with the addition of the maple leaf coronet for Canada.

Issuant from a coronet erablé Gules a border collie sejant proper;

Symbolism

The border collie works as a sheepdog to herd and protect its flock against carnivores. It is known for being vigilant, loyal and ready to defend itself and others, evoking the values of the Association.

Dexter a female habitant sinister a male habitant both vested and armed tempore 1700 and standing on a grassy mount proper;

Symbolism

The supporters recall the defence of Fort Verchères by Madeleine de Verchères and her companions in 1692. Because of her leadership for this great accomplishment, Madeleine de Verchères is considered a heroine of New France.

The gold disc represents the striking end of a cartridge. The maple leaf coronet and rifles allude to the name of the Association.
