Symbolism

The blue field recalls the arms and flag of Alberta. The wild rose is the provincial flower. These colours and flower symbolize that this is the Alberta jurisdiction of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. The Order is represented by the canton containing the Arms of the Priory of Canada.
