Symbolism

The maple leaf evokes the cap badge of the Cadet Instructor Cadre. The beaver, represented in a West Coast First Nations style, establishes the geographical location of the unit. In First Nations culture, the beaver is known for its industriousness, building skills and wise advice, traits that represent the ethos of the Cadet Instructor Cadre.
