Arms of l'Association des RobichaudBlazonGules a three-masted ship Or pennons flying and in full sail Argent on in base water barry wavy Argent and Azure and in chief a mullet between two fleurs-de-lis all Or; SymbolismThe red and gold are taken from the arms of Charles de Menou d’Aulnay, Governor of Acadia. The schooner symbolizes the journey by sea of the first Robichaud from Poitou and the subsequent evolution of the family in a maritime setting. The gold star is a famous symbol of the Acadians. The fleurs-de-lis represents France, the homeland of the Robichaud ancestors. |
