Arms of the Royal Ashburn Golf ClubBlazonVert a fess wavy Azure fimbriated Argent, overall two golf clubs in saltire enfiling a wreath of ash leaves and oak leaves Or; SymbolismThe shield is based on the Scottish theme of the Club, which is situated in the Oak Ridges moraine. The two golf clubs in X-shape, forming a saltire cross, reinforce the Scottish symbolism. The green background represents the greens of the game, and the blue wavy bar refers to not only the water hazards of the game but also to the Scots word “burn” meaning a stream. The garland is composed of ash leaves, to complete the reference to the name of the Club, and oak leaves, to refer to the location. The garland also emphasises the idea of honour for winner and hero, and the regard in which the Club is held. |

The thistles on the compartment represent the Scottish countryside, and the maple seeds allude to the support given to youth by the Club. |
