Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, presented Canada’s top architecture and landscape architecture awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
Governor General’s Medals in Architecture: 12 projects from across the country were recognized for exceptional, innovative and outstanding design.
Governor General’s Medal in Landscape Architecture: Landscape architect Claude Cormier from Quebec was recognized posthumously for exceptional achievement in landscape architecture.
Canadian architecture is admired internationally for its innovation, and because it tells the story of who we are.
