The Governor General hosted a conversation entitled "The Pandemic and Persons with Disabilities: What Canadians Need to Know" with guests Benoît Huot, C.M., Canadian Paralympic champion and sports broadcaster; Al Etmanski, C.M., M.S.M., author, blogger, community organizer, social entrepreneur and former co-chair of the COVID-19 Disability Advisory Group; Barbara MacDougall, freelance musician; Paul-Claude Bérubé, Chair, Board of Directors, Accessibility Standards Canada; Ingrid Carey, writer; and Jocelyne Pasquier, Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, and former DanceSport world champion.
This virtual event was held as part of the innovative series GGconversations which highlights exceptional Canadians from diverse areas of interest.
