As we mark the beginning of Mental Health Week, I hope we can embody this year’s theme, “a call to be kind.”

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will host a special honours ceremony at Rideau Hall that will focus on mental health.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will recognize the outstanding contributions of Canada’s top innovators during the Governor General’s Innovation Awards at Rideau Hall.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will be awarded a Doctor of Laws honoris causa from the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), in Kingston, Ontario.

Today, we are celebrating all that you have accomplished here at the Royal Military College.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will invest 5 Commanders (C.M.M.), 11 Officers (O.M.M.) and 57 Members (M.M.M.) into the Order of Military Merit at an investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall.

Today, we celebrate your accomplishments. You have acted with exceptional merit, and embraced the values the military stands for. You serve with integrity and courage. Your actions display loyalty and excellence.

You have built bridges to promote understanding and respect. You have encouraged Indigenous economic success and collaboration. You have inspired corporate Canada to invest in Indigenous entrepreneurship and ideas.

Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Whit Fraser will undertake their first official visit to New Brunswick from June 4 to 7, 2024.
