Message from the Governor General Congratulating Canadian Athletes on their Performances at the London 2012 Paralympic Games 

OTTAWA—On behalf of all Canadians, I would like to congratulate our country’s athletes on their achievements at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. 

There was no shortage of fierce passion in the awe-inspiring performances of our athletes. Each of them gave their all as they competed against the world’s best in paralympic sport. Their indomitable spirit never faltered, bolstered by the support of a dedicated team of coaches, experts and behind-the-scenes volunteers. And, of course, thousands of Canadians cheering them on from the sidelines. 

Sharon and I commend every one of you for so proudly serving as ambassadors for Canada at these Games and wish you continued success in all that you do.
