Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada delivered a keynote address at the 5th National Gathering on Unmarked Burials in Montréal, on Friday, September 8, 2023.
Before her speech, Her Excellency listened to the “Voices of Youth Panel”, during which intergenerational Survivors spoke about their experience. Following her speech, Her Excellency listened to the participant questions and sharing session. In this latter portion, attendees, many of whom are Survivors, had the opportunity to engage with youth panellists.
