Governor General to attend 2021 Sobey Art Award Ceremony

OTTAWA, Ontario—Members of the media are invited to the National Gallery of Canada to cover the 2021 Sobey Art Award ceremony, where one of five shortlisted Canadian artists will be announced as the winner of the 2021 Sobey Art Award. Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary May Simon, Governor General of Canada, will be speaking at the event.

Time: 7 p.m.
Location: National Gallery of Canada

  • Proof of vaccination will be required for all attendees.
  • Media are asked to arrive by 6:30 p.m.
  • All attendees will be entering through the Group Entrance at 380 Sussex Drive.
