Her Honour the Honourable Judy Foote, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, paid a virtual visit to Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, as part of the GGconversations series.

After a career in politics spanning two decades, as both a member of the House of Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador, and as a member of the Parliament of Canada, Her Honour was installed as lieutenant governor of Newfoundland and Labrador in May 2018. Prior to serving in politics, she was a teacher, a journalist with CBC’s public affairs program “Here & Now,” director of university relations at Memorial University, and director of communications for former premier Clyde Wells.
