Winter Celebration

You are invited to attend Winter Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rideau Hall. 

All activities are free of charge.

Please note that Rideau Hall is a working residence; scheduling for all activities is subject to change without notice due to official events. 

Celebrate

Experience the joy of winter at Rideau Hall with your family and friends during Winter Celebration. An afternoon of free outdoor activities, captivating performances and more than a few surprises will delight young and old alike.

Discover

Explore the snow-clad grounds of Rideau Hall and discover winter games and pastimes from all over the world.

Skate

Lace up your skates in the Winter Pavilion, a stunning heritage building, and skate on the Rideau Hall Rink.

Tour

Warm up with a tour of the residence and check out some special indoor activities! Visit the State rooms where the governor general honours Canadians, welcomes dignitaries, and fulfils official duties.

Getting here

A free Winterlude shuttle bus will run in a loop from downtown (intersection of Metcalfe and Queen Streets) to Rideau Hall every half hour between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. with the last bus departing Rideau Hall at 4:30 p.m.

Visitors are also encouraged to walk or use public transportation or taxis to get to Rideau Hall. Limited free parking will be available on the streets in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Limited parking for persons with mobility restrictions will be available on the Rideau Hall grounds via the Princess Gate on a first come, first served basis (accessible parking permit required).
