Ottawa, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will present Canada’s top architecture and landscape architecture awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
Awards:
Governor General’s Medals in Architecture: 12 projects from across the country will be recognized for exceptional, innovative and outstanding design.
Governor General’s Medal in Landscape Architecture: Landscape architect Claude Cormier from Quebec will be recognized posthumously for exceptional achievement in landscape architecture.

The Governor General’s Medals in Architecture and Landscape Architecture are presented by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
