Governor General to mark the Rideau Hall début of Honouring My Spirit Helpers, an artwork by celebrated Métis Artist Christi Belcourt

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will be joined by Métis artist Christi Belcourt for a photo opportunity to mark the exhibition of Honouring My Spirit Helpers at Rideau Hall.

Installed on National Indigenous Peoples Day, Honouring My Spirit Helpers explores the interconnectedness of water, land and spirit, and demonstrates the Governor General’s commitment to highlighting Indigenous excellence.
