Steve Desroches has been an active volunteer in Ottawa for over 20 years. He led the campaign to construct the first French school in Riverside South and secured the community’s first Bookmobile stop. Dedicated to the well-being of veterans, he has worked with the Royal Canadian Legion and the Perley-Rideau Veterans Health Centre Foundation, and is noted for distributing 5 000 ribbons to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
