Vernon Anderson has brought fun and cheer to his hometown of South Indian Lake in northern Manitoba by raising funds for and organizing the annual Christmas season sliding party. He is also a member of the Booth University College Indigenous Advisory Council, which assists the school in achieving its Truth and Reconciliation goals and promoting greater cultural awareness.
