For decades, Vera Dewar has championed advancements in nursing education in her province. She was a pivotal leader in founding the PEI School of Nursing and in establishing the School of Nursing at the University of Prince Edward Island. After her retirement, she personally funded scholarships for nursing students. Throughout her career as an educator, this role model has inspired students and colleagues to strive for excellence in nursing education and practice.
