During his tenure with the Labour Management Study Group, he fostered improved labour-management relations in Ontario, helping to develop non-confrontational techniques and new approaches to work organization and practices. In addition to his business commitments, he has provided sage direction to non-profit associations, including the Trillium Foundation and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
