Priest, educator, pillar of the Société Nationale des Acadiens and spokesman for the Acadians of Nova Scotia, he has performed outstanding work in defence of the Acadians, other minorities and the underpriviledged, achieving recognition both in Canada and abroad. The value of his work on the development of international exchanges cannot be overestimated, and his Christian humanism, sense of justice and diplomatic skills have contributed greatly to the harmony of the Canadian mosaic.
