Miriam Adams has been instrumental in preserving the history of dance in Canada. As co-founder and director of Dance Collection Danse, a national archive, publishing house and resource centre, she has rescued, collected and preserved historical and contemporary information on Canadian dance. Her work has safeguarded a legacy of artifacts that include film and video, choreographic notes, photographs and costumes, which she has made accessible to the public through virtual and live exhibitions, and in the published works of dance historians and writers.
