A lecturer and retired teacher, she has dedicated herself to improving the lives of her fellow citizens for nearly 50 years. She is a much sought-after expert on Acadian culture, the status of women and senior citizens. She acted as a catalyst in the creation of many organizations, including the Société des enseignantes et enseignants retraités francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick. She has also been involved in several provincial and federal literacy and senior health care projects.
