He served with great distinction in the Canadian Forces for over 30 years and continues to be a model of dedication and selflessness. Throughout his illustrious career, he held a variety of appointments in Canada and abroad, including commander of the United Nations Missions to Uganda and Rwanda where he displayed exceptional professionalism and superb leadership. Now retired, he has accepted new challenges as special advisor to the Canadian International Development Agency on matters relating to war-affected children. He is also a dynamic and eloquent speaker on matters relating to post-traumatic stress. Courageous and caring, he continues his exemplary service to his country and to humanity.
