    A Fredericton businessman, he served as Provincial Commissioner of the St. John Ambulance Brigade of New Brunswick from 1968-84. During this time his dedication and skill led to the development of a province-wide volunteer emergency and long-distance ambulance service which is vital to the provision of adequate medical care to rural residents of New Brunswick.
