In a period of only nine years of jumping, Kathy Cox became Canada's premier woman parachutist, winning prizes in Canada, Europe, the United States and China. At the XIV World Parachuting Championship in 1978 she was named Women's World Champion in Individual Accuracy. Having retired from competition to follow studies in kinesiology and health, she is now a researcher at the Institute of Environmental Medicine at Downsview, Ontario.
