Several years ago Connie Wenaus was rightly designated Dartmouth's Woman of the Year. In addition to her work in the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire programmes for children and the aged, she has been involved in many community projects. As full-time director at a drop-in centre for senior citizens she daily inspires other volunteers and has coordinated programmes ranging from reassurance telephoning, hot lunches and home visiting to educational health clinics.
