Dr. Stoicheff began his scientific career at the National Research Council. He then joined the University of Toronto as professor of physics, steadily advancing to University Professor - an eminence which rests upon an international reputation as an authority on spectroscopy and optical physics. He is known for his experiments using lasers to probe the structure of matter and has several important discoveries to his name.
