As chief judge of the Municipal Court of Montréal, he diverted thousands of people from the system by promoting social rehabilitation. Through his tireless efforts, he has transformed this court into a model for others across Canada and has received several awards, including the Order of Montréal and the Prix de la justice du Québec.
