Peter Dalglish has devoted his life to helping children escape poverty. Trained as a lawyer, he became involved in humanitarian projects after witnessing the Ethiopian famine of 1984. He founded Street Kids International to teach homeless children work and life skills, and its success spurred him to pioneer innovative approaches to preventing child labour and assisting war-affected children in Afghanistan. He continues to make international contributions and is currently working with the United Nations in Liberia to assist in its recovery from the Ebola crisis.
