In response to Russian aggression against Ukraine, Major Wasson was deployed to Europe from February to September 2022, with the United States’ XVIII Airborne Corps. As the officer in charge of G4 Operations, he performed exceptionally well, tangibly enabling United States Army Europe and Africa mission success while advancing Canadian interests with dividends to its Euro-Atlantic strategic framework. Major Wasson’s contributions, which were made in direct support of partnered military forces from the United States, United Kingdom, Poland and Ukraine, have profoundly enhanced Canada’s reputation abroad.
