In tribute to the members of the Canadian Forestry Corps, David Devigne has worked tirelessly to commemorate their service in the Landes and Gironde regions of France during the First World War. Through extensive research, multiple exhibitions and the creation of the lumberjack memorial trail, he has helped to educate local residents about this little-known Canadian contribution to the war effort.
