    RCMP Corps Sergeant Major Young is a knowledgeable adviser on national honours, ceremonies, protocol, uniforms and customs. The author of an invaluable record on such matters, he was the principal keeper of the RCMP's traditions. Thanks largely to his initiative and leadership, the RCMP Corps Ensign was designed, approved and granted in 1991.
