Along with the keys, it alludes to his service in the Canadian Armed Forces, and, because of his interest in unlocking military history, represents his service as the curator of the Calgary Highlanders Regimental Museum and as a guide for battlefield tours. The stag alludes to the stag in the crest of the chief of the Davidson clan, of which the Deans, his mother’s family, is a sept. |
