Red and gold are the colours of the Hindu religion for auspicious occasions and for knowledge and learning. The lotus flower and petals are symbols of the inner self unfolding from darkness to light. The Om symbol is commonly used to represent Hinduism and its philosophy and theology. The snake-entwined staves symbolize Dr. Gupta’s profession of medicine. |
