Upon arrival in Thunder Bay, the Governor General met with students from Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School and gave a presentation to encourage them to aim high and dare to dream. Later, Her Excellency went cross-country skiing with members of the National Team Development Centre and youth from the city, as part of her GGactive initiative. In the evening, the Governor General delivered remarks and kicked-off the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2020.
