Induction as Honorary Member of the Royal 22e Régiment

Within her role as commander-in-chief, Governor General Mary Simon was inducted as a member of the Royal 22e Régiment, continuing a long-standing tradition that spans more than three decades.

The Royal 22e Régiment is one of the three major infantry regiments of the Canadian Armed Forces and has participated in all of Canada’s major military engagements since the First World War.

This formal and honorary entry into the regiment marks a significant milestone, celebrating a proud tradition of service and dedication.
